Claremont High became the first California team to make the podium in the 11-year history of the Peter Aquilone Memorial Boys Eastern States Championship at the 46th Manhattan Invitational at Van Cortlandt Park in New York, placing third with 117 points. Claremont had five scorers in the top 35, led by Aaron Reyes covering the 2.5-mile course in 14th place in 12:46.5. Jacob Moran, Ryan Cowgill, Vicente Huerta, Jack Keough-Lansford, Adam Trafecanty and Yoon Cho also contributed for Claremont.
